Venue 505- 280 Cleveland St Surry Hills

Venue 505 is our full time live music space seating 160. It Presents the best live jazz, roots, reggae, funk, gypsy, latin, instrumental and vocal entertainment in town. With performances every Monday-Saturday (except public holidays). See our full program here.

Bar/Kitchen - Venue 505 is fully licensed and our kitchen is open from 7pm-10.30pm nightly. See our seasonal menu here.

Under 18's - are welcome at Venue 505 but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Doors open - at 7pm Mondays and 6pm Tuesday-Saturday, performances start at 8.30pm.

Tickets - available at the door from 7.30pm unless specified otherwise

Wheelchair access - Venue 505 can accommodate wheelchairs. If you have special access needs please contact usahead of time. We recommend getting here as close to 7.30pm as possible to ensure easy access and a suitable table.

Old 505 Theatre- Suite 505, 342 Elizabeth St Surry Hills

Our old stomping ground in Hibernian House was relaunched last year as Sydney's newest independent theatre space. An intimate warehouse space seating 30 pax the Old 505 Theatre is curated by 505 founder/Director Kerri Glasscock and Old 505 Theatre, Associate Artistic Director Gareth Boylan.

The Old 505 aims to foster close relationships with some of Sydney's most exciting performing arts practitioners by presenting a series of residencies and limited-season productions by invitation. In addition, the venue hosts an ongoing series of workshops and master classes by industry professionals, providing a valuable opportunity for performing artists to access continuing professional development. Doors open - 1/2 hour before performance start time.

Tickets- are only available at the door unless otherwise stated

Under 18's- are welcome at the Old 505 Theatre

6 Nights a Week at Venue 505

Kicking off 2013 we are increasing the fun times with:

Monday nights featuring local singer/songwriters and some extra special ones with local legends performing off tour shows w special guests for $10!


Come party down for 'Old School' Tuesdays with a live funk and groove band, invited guests jamming and DJ selections of some rare grooves. And it's FREE entry!!!

Wednesdays is a great night for the very best in contemporary Jazz and World music from some seriously world class players. A feast for the senses and especially your ears.

Thursdays will feature some of the new and old faces of 'beat' music reaching into the vaults of Reggae, Afro-Beat, Funk, Jazz and more. Free entry to 505 members!

Fridays are a night to unwind for the week with a blend of some high class and fun acts that range from Swing, Gypsy, Worls, Soul, Funk and more.

Saturdays are our concert series and a perfect night to sit back and let your ears be trated to the most inspiring vocalists and instrumentalists Australia has to offer.

Love Roots, Groove, Funk and Jazz music? Tuesdays are all about it with free entry a lounge atmosphere, live funk trio and resident DJ. Check out the new cocktail menu in style and treat yourself to an early week hang. Some of Sydney’s finest muso’s will be dropping by to jam (or just prop up the bar) Cocktail hour from 6-730!

Our theatre space the Old 505 Theatre continues to present the best and most exciting work from this towns most innovative artists. With most seasons selling out, the Old 505 is building a strong reputation as a leader in the independent Sydney theatre scene. Our current season of Macondo's Clothesline is sold out.
